The Venue and People..
For people who want a slightly more upmarket experience to the Scream-branded pubs the cool surroundings of Funky Buddha Lounge are a welcome relief.
With a cute patio outside with a red awning, there's a small curved bar in front of you and high tables and chairs on the left.
Red walls, big leather couches with bright cushions and buddhas fill this place. Pictures of buddhas cover the walls - they even sell Funky Buddha t-shirts, which arent to bad!
This is a place to relax and it attracts a mix of more discerning students and office workers. It's very popular for birthday parties and other celebrations. Open mic nights are on Sunday.
Drinks and Food..
You've got bruschettas, pizzas, soups and pastas all for around £7.
(You can get a starter, main course and a drink for £7.50 between noon and 6pm Monday to Saturday). Checking out the daily specials board is also worthwhile!
A decent bottle of Chianti is £14.95 and they sell the usual array of beers.
