What is it?
Sister venue to Buffalo, 10 Feet Tall opened in 2008 with the same winning formula of chic design, quality liquor and a packed entertainment schedule.
Why is it hot?
The design of the place really is rather lovely - the ground and top floors have candelabra-decked bars, whilst the middle floor has wallpaper depicting library books, and an assortment of framed gloves and old-fashioned lamps, giving it somewhat the air of a gentleman's club. But don't worry, there are no portly cigar-smokers in sight - 10 Feet Tall's crowd is young and dressed to impress.
Up on the top floor is where the dancing action is, with club/live music nights running Tuesday to Sunday. Some are free entry, so it's worth checking out what's happening on a week night. If you can't justify going out dancing on a school night then you'll want to hit Marmalade' on a Friday night for a sexy mix of Soul, Funk, Roots, Motown, Disco and those new releases you can't get out of your head. Saturdays host the Me and You Club, with an emphasis on good-time' tunes - expect Indie, Rock, Pop and a few cheese classics. On a rugby night you can bet your bottom dollar there'll be some Tom Jones in there somewhere.

Worst part?
Because of it's popularity it can get ridiculously crowded on a weekend. Expect queues, pushing, and drinks all down your dress.
Entry fee?
From about 10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays they start charging on the door (£4) and you'll probably face a queue to get in. Best get there early and bags a table so your feet are rested enough for all that dancing you'll do later on.
