Design is a really good way to get yourself noticed. You want your cv to reflect you but not actually be you!

In other words we don't need to see a picture of yourself, this gives off an unprofessional vibe. By all means the design of your blog should really reflect your personality. Execute this through fonts (free fonts can be downloaded from website da-font.com).
But always use your judgment as to whether your choice will be legible to the reader and will send out the right professional message. If the type of job you're going for is creative and visual, your CV should definitely be designed using a creative program like InDesign.
