If you're a bit bored with the whole new year, new you mantra (seriously, we broke our 'cut out Coca Cola" rule before New Years Day was over) why not try something that is easy to keep up ALL YEAR and is totes healthy. Yep, the food swap! Rather than cutting out whole food groups, swap individual items for something just as tasty, but way healthier. Here's how...

EAT YOUR WAY TO HEALTHY SKIN AND SILKY HAIR...

Swap: Croutons for walnuts

Salad's meant to be the healthier choice, but your Caesar could be improved if you get rid of those carb-laden croutons. Not only do walnuts taste delish, they're nutritional powerhouses packed with heart-healthy fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals.

Swap: Beef for turkey

Don't wanna give up the burgers? Don't! Turkey contains half the saturated fat of lean beef and tastes good as an alternative in pretty much anything you'd normally put beef in. Won't be giving up spaghetti bolognese then either!

Swap: Crisps for popcorn

If you've got the munchies, reach for a bag of popcorn. It’s a 100% wholegrain, so high in fibre, which will make you feel fuller, too - just don't douse it in butter and salt, sort of defeats the purpose.

Swap: Chocolate for dates

Desserts are the source of our happiness, so we'll be swapping, not stopping! Dates are a great alternative to chocolate – especially in baking. You'll satisfy that sweet tooth and gain nutrients in the process. Hello brownies!

Swap: A normal sandwich for a Thinwich!
