Today we’ve got our big proud faces on because we spotted Emeli way back last year as a one to watch. And to prove it here are our exclusive pics from our November issue shoot where she told us all about her crazy 2011 which has seen her writing for everyone from Leona to SuBo and beyond.
Back then she spent a good half hour panicking about how to reply to Alicia Keyes’ email. Bless! We reckon her inbox will be filling up even more now.
Of course you guys will know Emeli's already scored a number one hit with Pro Green on “Read All About It” and a number two with her dark dance track Heaven. But we’ve just had an exclusive listen to her debut album Our Version Of Events too (out in February) and she’s smashed it there too.
By winning this huge BRIT she’s following in the footsteps of Florence, Adele and Jessie J - And we don’t think it’s going to be the last trophy on Emeli’s mantelpiece.
