From the second you ewalk up to the front of Eelbrook, you realise this chic eatery is a little bit different. A clean white entrance, a scandanavian design feel - and lots of people looking like they're having a fabulous time.
And when you start eating the food Eelbrook have on the menu, you understand why. Their aim is to provide exceptional food using the best of British seasonal ingredients in a relaxed, informal setting - and they've absolutely nailed it.
Located in the south east corner of Eel Brook Common in the heart of Fulham, the interior was designed by Haruo Morishima, who also decked out Hakkasan Las Vegas. A unique heated terrace allowing for year-round al fresco dining, which is a massive plus, as the setting is so green and beautiful - something that's rare for an eatery in zone 2!
We started with the namesake dish - the eel. Having never tried the classic London delicacy before, there was a moment of trepidation - but it was ABSOLUTELY delicious, smokey and warm, served with horseradish for a unique flavour experience. We both then chose meat dishes - which were cooked to perfection, followed by a chocolate molten pudding to share... A-MAZING. We also asked the staff to pair the wines to the courses, and they proved themselves to be knowledgeable - with very good taste!
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner our menus, created by Head Chef Brett Barnes, are an eclectic mix of British and Mediterranean-influenced dishes made from the best of British seasonal ingredients.
