Scarlett Johansson Reveals Why She Split With Ryan Reynolds

Scarlett explained that it was all to do with their careers.

“Acting is a very strange world to be co-existing in. It’s very volatile. There’s always going to be the more successful person,” she told Parade when discussing how a relationship can become strained when there are two actors involved.

She then explained that " Marriage takes a lot of work... it takes a man who's not only confident in the love that you have for one another, but confident in what he has going on in his own career. He has to be in a field that's completely different from yours."

Ryan Reynolds clearly did not share her sentiments, which is why he is now happily married to fellow actress Blake Lively, who have recently had their first child together.

Scarlett remarried, exchanging vows with the French Journalist Romain Dauriac in October, the couple also have a daughter, Rose.

"My husband’s also involved in art...what’s important to him is the recognition that he gets from his job, and that has nothing to do with my job." she explained.
